Buyers prefer sellers they can trust. Establish yourself by using feedback systems, seller identity authentications, and protection programs. With PayPal, you can get several tools to increase buyer confidence.
Verification.
Becoming Verified helps establish you as a seller in the PayPal network. It is recognized by buyers and means you have successfully completed PayPal's Verification process and established your identity with us.
The Verification process varies by country or region:
For more information, go to the Verification FAQ.
Qualify for PayPal Buyer Protection.
eBay buyers who feel safe are more likely to make a purchase. That's why we offer PayPal Buyer Protection. This free program gives eBay buyers up to $2,000.00 USD of purchase protection on eligible eBay listings. If your item qualifies, eBay will insert a PayPal seal in your listing, along with text explaining that the item is covered by PayPal Buyer Protection.
Note that in some cases, your item may be ineligible for PayPal Buyer Protection coverage even if the seal is displayed.
For more information on PayPal Buyer Protection eligibility, visit PayPal Buyer Protection for Sellers. For specific terms and conditions, review the User Agreement.
Seller Reputation Number
Reputation Numbers help PayPal members evaluate the trustworthiness of the people they do business with. The Seller Reputation Number represents the total Verified Members who have paid a seller.
Buyers use Reputation Numbers to help them assess the seller’s track record with other buyers. For more information, go to Reputation Numbers.
