Purchase Protection Programs |

 |
The majority of PayPal transactions are completed quickly and smoothly. But we have created specific programs that cover purchases of online goods in case an issue arises.
Buyer Complaint Policy
When an item is not received or differs significantly from its description, you can rely on our Buyer Complaint Policy. See eligibility
How it works.

- Start with PayPal Dispute Resolution. We created this tool to enable both parties to communicate directly with each other to resolve an issue amicably.
- If you are unable to resolve the dispute, the next step is to file a formal complaint. At this point – depending on fund availability in the seller’s account – the funds are frozen for the amount of the transaction.
- PayPal will contact both parties. If our investigation team finds the claim in favor of the buyer, the amount of the transaction, if available from the seller, will be transferred back to the buyer.
PayPal Buyer Protection
PayPal Buyer Protection covers eBay transactions paid with PayPal up to $200.00 USDand qualifying eBay transactions up to $2,000.00 USD. This program helps you recover funds if a seller does not deliver or significantly misrepresents an eBay item. See eligibility
To determine your level of purchase protection on eBay, check the item page.
PayPal Buyer Credit: Extended Buyer Protection
- Buyers paying for an eBay item with PayPal Buyer Credit automatically have full purchase protection against items not received. See eligibility
The best protection is precaution.
Although we offer protection, you should try to avoid issues by reviewing our Tips for Online Shopping.
