What is the PayPal Plus Credit Card?
The PayPal Plus Credit Card is a MasterCard® credit card designed exclusively for PayPal members. A PayPal Plus temporary line of credit will be added instantly to your PayPal account, which you can use before you receive your credit card.
Why would I want to use the PayPal Plus Credit Card instead of another credit card?
The PayPal Plus Credit Card gives you access to exclusive offers — plus, you’ll earn Rewards Points for every purchase you make with your card. There is also no annual fee and zero liability on unauthorized purchases made with your card.
When can I start using PayPal Plus Credit Card? How long will it take to receive it?
You can receive your credit decision in as soon as 30 seconds after you submit your application, and start using your PayPal Plus Credit Card as soon as you are approved. Once you are approved, a temporary credit line will instantly be added as an additional funding source in your PayPal account. You will receive your card within 7-10 business days. It is important that you activate your credit card immediately to ensure your credit line is fully available to you.
How do I start using my card?

- Your card is added automatically to your PayPal account. Just choose it to fund the purchases you make with PayPal.

Can I transfer my balance from another credit card to the PayPal Plus Credit Card?
Yes, you can transfer balances from other credit cards to your PayPal Plus Credit Card by either visiting the Service Site or by contacting us at 1-866-300-6432. You can get to the Service Site by logging in to your PayPal account, then clicking the “See Credit Activity“ link in the PayPal Plus Credit Card section on the "Account Overview" page.
Can I access cash with my new card?
Yes. You can request a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that you can use to get cash at thousands of ATMs nationwide. To request your PIN, simply call the phone number listed on the back of your card. For rate, fees and other cost information, See terms and conditions.
How can I request an additional card to provide to someone I’ve authorized to use my account?
After you receive your card, just call the toll-free number on the back of your card. There’s no charge for additional cards.
Can I request an increase to my credit limit?
Yes. It is recommended you wait at least three months after you are approved for the card before you request a credit limit increase. To make a request, visit the Service Site and request a credit limit increase. If you are eligible, you will receive an immediate increase. You can get to the Service Site by logging in to your PayPal account, then clicking the "See Credit Activity" link in the PayPal Plus Credit Card section on the "Account Overview" page.
How can I see my PayPal Plus Credit Card transactions, statements, and payments due?
Log into your PayPal account, and then click the "See Credit Activity" link in the PayPal Plus Credit Card section on the "Account Overview" page.
How do I make payments to my PayPal Plus Credit Card?
You can make payments online, by phone, or by mail. For payment instructions, just visit the PayPal Plus Service Site by logging in to your PayPal account, then clicking the See Credit Activity link in the PayPal Plus Credit Card section on the Account Overview" page.
I do not have enough credit available for my purchase. Can I use another source of funds to pay the additional amount so I can take advantage of promotional financing?
No. Currently there isn't a way to take advantage of promotional financing if you don't have enough available credit on your PayPal Plus Credit Card to complete the purchase.
Can I access my PayPal funds using my PayPal Plus Credit Card?
No. At this time, you cannot access the funds in your PayPal account with the PayPal Plus Credit Card.

What is the PayPal Plus Rewards Program?
As a PayPal Plus Credit Card customer, you will be automatically enrolled in the PayPal Plus Credit Card Rewards Program for no additional fee. With PayPal Plus Rewards, you can earn points everywhere you shop with your card. Learn more about the PayPal Plus Rewards program.
How do I earn Reward Points?
You earn one Reward Point for every dollar in purchases made with your card.
How do I redeem my Reward Points?
You can redeem Reward Points for Reward Vouchers such as dollars off a PayPal purchase made with your PayPal account. Sign on to the PayPal Plus Service Site to view and redeem Reward Points and for the selection of Reward Vouchers.

What does Extended Buyer Protection benefits mean?
When you use your PayPal Plus Credit product to pay for merchandise with online merchants who accept PayPal, your transactions may be eligible for Extended Buyer Protection. Extended Buyer Protection is provided to you at no additional cost when you send a payment using PayPal and fund it with either:
- PayPal Plus Credit Card
- PayPal Buyer Credit
- PayPal Pay Later

What liability do I have for unauthorized charges made on my account?
PayPal Plus cardholders automatically receive zero liability for any unauthorized charges, both on and offline. For details view the MasterCard® Guide to Benefits. A printed copy will be mailed to you when you become a cardholder. PayPal Plus Credit Card Versus PayPal Buyer Credit
What kind of credit does PayPal make available?
As a PayPal customer, you may be eligible for one of our two kinds of credit products:

PayPal Plus Credit Card, a MasterCard® credit card that you can use wherever MasterCard is accepted.
- PayPal Buyer Credit, which you can access directly through your PayPal account and apply to your PayPal purchases.
The PayPal Plus Credit Card and PayPal Buyer Credit both offer a secure, convenient, and flexible way to fund your purchases, allowing you to shop now and pay later. When you apply for the PayPal Plus Credit Card, you will first be considered for the PayPal Plus Credit Card with Rewards. If you do not qualify for the PayPal Plus card, you will be considered for PayPal Buyer Credit, which has different benefits.
What is the difference between the PayPal Plus Credit Card and PayPal Buyer Credit?
The PayPal Plus Credit Card is a Platinum MasterCard® you can use for all of your purchases in stores and online, wherever PayPal and MasterCard are accepted. The PayPal Plus Credit Card offers you the ability to earn Rewards Points. When you apply, you will first be considered for the PayPal Plus Credit Card.
If you do not qualify for the PayPal Plus Credit Card, you will be considered for a PayPal Buyer Credit account, which can be used anywhere PayPal is accepted. Reward points and Platinum credit card benefits are not available with Buyer Credit.
Can I have a PayPal Plus Credit Card and PayPal Buyer Credit?
No. If approved for a PayPal credit account you may only have one type of account, the PayPal Plus Credit Card or PayPal Buyer Credit.
Why did I get PayPal Buyer Credit when I was applying for a PayPal Plus Credit Card?
When you applied for the PayPal Plus Credit Card, you were first considered for the PayPal Plus Credit Card with Rewards. You were approved for PayPal Buyer Credit because at the time of your application, you were not approved for the PayPal Plus Credit Card. Your account type is determined by a number of credit factors at the time you apply. PayPal Buyer Credit provides you the same level of Extended Buyer Protection Benefits as the PayPal Plus Card, and you’re also eligible to receive special promotional financing offers, with no annual fee.
If I already have PayPal Buyer Credit but would prefer a PayPal Plus Credit card, how do I switch?
Periodically invitations will be extended to PayPal Buyer Credit customers to switch to the PayPal Plus Credit Card. At this time, we cannot switch your account from PayPal Buyer Credit to PayPal Plus outside this invitation process.
