I won an item today for about 128.00. i made payment using my credit card(pay-pal). Later on in the day I logged on to pay-pal for something else and saw the pay-pal was giving me the option to cancel this payment because the seller was not verified it said, and the payment was unclaimed. The seller is in a different country with no feedback and just joined E-Bay net work this month. What happens now ? Do I contact this Seller? Will I or can I get a non-payment mark? and does this mean that the seller was not on the up & up. ?????? and is this considered a bid retraction???????

I would cancel the payment immediatly because if the seller is unvertified...you are not covered under the buyer protection...which means they can take your money and you won't get a refund...especailly since they don't have any feedback....it sounds like a scam.

Whether the seller is verified or not has nothing to do with Paypal buyer protection. In the past, the seller had to be verified to be covered by SELLER protection but it's never been a requirement for buyer protection.

Since he is new, let's assume he entered in a wrong email address. This is what happened to me. 1. Cancel payment 2. Contact paypal and work with them. Believe it or not, they were very helpful. But beware. The seller may become registered, but if you pay via paypal, it will continue to go to the wrong email. The money will dissappear from your account, but will not be going to the seller. You will have to manually send it on the accounts page on paypal. The person from paypal helped me do that. 3. Contact the seller and make sure he got the payment. It should say on your accounts page "completed" instead of "unverifed" or whatever it was saying. I hope this is helpful, but really. Just contact paypal. I was amazed I had to tell the seller what to do, but paypal did help me and walked me through the steps so my seller got paid.
Hope this helps.
